We support real comedy, and real comedians, in all of their forms. So, we are happy to announce that Mike DeStefano has had his entry picked to be a finalist in this year’s New York Television Festival.
The New York Television Festival was founded in 2005 as a platform for artists to present their TV-format work, unedited for industry heads. The NYTVF is recognized as the first independent television festival. Each year, they hold feature panel discussions, host special events, premiere screenings, as well as hosting their yearly “Independent Pilot Competition.”
This year, out of the 36 pilots chosen to be finalist, Mike DeStefano’s creation “The Road” has been chosen! The pilot is billed, on the “2008 Official Selections” list, as a ‘Reality Drama’ created by Frank Mosca and Mike DeStefano. Congrats Mikee! We wish you the best of luck.
If you are in New York, you can go to one of the screenings, for free! There are two screenings:

It’s located at:

Editor’s Note:
This is good news. We need more quality programming, and smart writing on Television. And also more offensive jokes. So let’s hope they pick it up! For now, we’ll leave you with a clip from Mike DeStefano’s appearance on “Live at Gotham.”
Heres some great Mike DeStefano. It’s hard to find videos from some comedians, Mike being one of them. But he is gaining in popularity, and getting more TV exposure, so there’s more new things from one of the funniest comedians ever. Enjoy. It’s 14 minutes long too, so shit loads of funny.
Mike DeStefano is one of the funniest comedians working today. He has recently began to get more exposure, and been featured on TV shows and what not. This is part of the what not. Here is the 1st episode of Mike DeStefano’s F’n Show.
Mike DeStefano was by far the best comedian on last nights Live At Gotham. He’s quick, crude as hell, and straight up to the point. Here he explains why his arm his sore, and how he plays a game while fighting terrorism in New York.
If your easily offended, you should watch this. I hope you can’t go to sleep tonight you oversensitive prick. But this is a hilarious up and coming stand-up comic named Mike Destefano. Check him out at the comedy village. He talks about race, homeless people and some other stuff. Alot about race and homeless people though. Enjoy damnit.
